What We Do

From small improvements to big changes, AOC7 works hard with the community to engage the community and activate the neighborhood. 

We are working hard with our council members, the City of Long Beach, local businesses, and a variety of nonprofit organizations to bring nature, literacy, community, and PRIDE to our corner of Long Beach. 

Recent projects have included:

• MacArthur Park Visioning Project

• Artwork on station boxes on 10th Street

• Founding the Friends of Macarthur Park (FOMP)

• 10th Street Holiday Tree Decoration

• Thanksgiving Baskets and Turkey Giveaways

• Safe crosswalks on 10th Street

• Annual Literacy Fair 

• Bringing art and nature to local alleys

• Revitalization of MacArthur Park

• COVID-19 drive up food distribution
